The Lunar Lander Game

Your Mission: To land safely on the moon.

Controls: Rotate your spacecraft using the LEFT & RIGHT arrow keys.  The SPACE BAR will fire your rocket engines.  You must touch down gently & perfectly level on the light blue landing pads or else you will crash.  If you land successfully you get half your fuel back & can continue to the next landing site.

All speed & direction changes are performed with your main rocket engine.  There are no brakes in space.  If you are drifting to the right, then you will need to rotate your spacecraft so that the engine is pointing to the right & then briefly fire your engines.  Be careful--if you fire your engine too long you will then start drifting to the left!  Keep in mind that gravity is pulling your spacecraft downwards at all times.

The physics in the game are real.  This is what landing a real spaceship on an airless world like the Moon would be like (except this is only two dimensional & won't hurt you if you crash).  To make it harder, change the gravity on the game.  GOOD LUCK!
